Quando entrou em opera\u00e7\u00e3o, ele movimentava 4 milh\u00f5es t\/ano de min\u00e9rio de ferro \u2013 que era a produ\u00e7\u00e3o da mina de Germano \u2013 e atualmente responde por 70% do transporte entre as minas do Complexo de Alegria e a usina de beneficiamento, que em 2015 ir\u00e1 totalizar 61 milh\u00f5es t\/ano de ROM. Os outros 30% s\u00e3o transportados por 16 caminh\u00f5es 789, de 180 t de capacidade, que tamb\u00e9m trabalham na movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de todo o est\u00e9ril retirado da mina.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo Edmilson de Freitas Campos, gerente de opera\u00e7\u00e3o de mina, o sistema tem cerca de 15 km de extens\u00e3o e abrange 32 transportadores, sendo cinco fixos e 27 m\u00f3veis. \u201cSua configura\u00e7\u00e3o muda a uma m\u00e9dia de 10% ao m\u00eas, pois toda semana prolongamos uma correia coletora, abrimos uma nova ramifica\u00e7\u00e3o ou deslocamos uma linha para uma nova frente de lavra.\u201d O sistema est\u00e1 alocado em 13 frentes, mas a Samarco opera simultaneamente no m\u00e1ximo nove delas. \u201cAs outras quatro correias ficam em <i>stand-by<\/i> caso tenhamos algum imprevisto, problemas com um veio n\u00e3o mapeado ou a necessidade de blendagem para atender \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/inthemine.com.br\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Samarco022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5503 alignright\" alt=\"Samarco022\" src=\"http:\/\/inthemine.com.br\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Samarco022-300x215.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inthemine.com.br\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Samarco022-300x215.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.inthemine.com.br\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Samarco022.jpg 556w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Diferentemente das correias fixas, que atingem 1.500 m de extens\u00e3o e sua estrutura \u00e9 apoiada sobre funda\u00e7\u00f5es, as m\u00f3veis (coletoras) t\u00eam no m\u00e1ximo 700 m de comprimento e ficam sobre <i>skids<\/i> fixados diretamente sobre o solo, permitindo sua movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o ou a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de novos m\u00f3dulos. Essas mudan\u00e7as s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rias porque sua alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 feita diretamente nas frentes de lavra por quatro conjuntos m\u00f3veis de britagem e 12 carregadores de bancadas. \u201cCada britador m\u00f3vel conta com tr\u00eas links de correias sobre rodas de 35 m, os Lokolinks, o que permite realizar a lavra em raios de at\u00e9 105 m, mas no caso dos carregadores fixos, precisamos acrescentar novos m\u00f3dulos a cada 60 m de avan\u00e7o.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Cuidados na opera\u00e7\u00e3o &#8211;\u00a0<\/b>Segundo Edmilson, esse \u00e9 o limite para se obter a m\u00e1xima produtividade no ciclo de carregamento, em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da dist\u00e2ncia percorrida pela p\u00e1 carregadeira at\u00e9 o alimentador de bancadas. Ele destaca que cada correia tem capacidade para vencer uma diferen\u00e7a de cota m\u00e1xima de 40 m, mas, na situa\u00e7\u00e3o mais adversa, a Samarco opera atualmente com sete linhas cont\u00ednuas de transportadores m\u00f3veis, que superam um desn\u00edvel de 280 m. O sistema pode parecer complexo, mas, pelas avalia\u00e7\u00f5es do especialista, substitui cerca de 20 caminh\u00f5es do porte do 789, eliminando os custos relativos a consumo de diesel, pneus, manuten\u00e7\u00e3o dos ve\u00edculos e das pistas de acesso, bem como o tr\u00e1fego na mina.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO Capex da correia transportadora \u00e9 bem maior que o de caminh\u00f5es <i>offroad<\/i>, mas enquanto a frota de ve\u00edculos precisa ser substitu\u00edda a cada 10 anos, ela atinge uma vida \u00fatil de muitas d\u00e9cadas\u201d, diz Edmilson. Ele afirma que uma boa parcela do sistema em opera\u00e7\u00e3o na mina data do in\u00edcio das atividades da Samarco, h\u00e1 mais de 35 anos, mesmo considerando as substitui\u00e7\u00f5es de componentes ao longo desse tempo, como roletes, polias e outros. Por esse motivo, o especialista avalia que o custo de lavra com a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de correias \u00e9 35% menor do que a com caminh\u00f5es. Al\u00e9m disso, elas operam com disponibilidade m\u00e9dia de 93%, contra um \u00edndice de 85% para os <i>offroads<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Esse desempenho, fundamental para um equipamento que opera 24 horas por dia e 365 dias por semana, se deve ao enfoque na manuten\u00e7\u00e3o preditiva, como o monitoramento da espessura do tapete de borracha e a inspe\u00e7\u00e3o de roletes e polias.
